This rescue is amazing and, one day, I hope mum will take me to visit… As you know, I love all animals and, although I have never met a tortoise, I’ve heard how amazing they are.. Well, for example, how many of us can live to over 100?
Anyway… have a look at their website and, if you are in Cornwall, call and see them!

My mum has asked me to ask you to think about all the greyhounds who have lost their lives due to racing…. I was very lucky to be rescued, just in time…
‘Commercial greyhound racing in the UK began on July 24th,1926 at Belle Vue Stadium in Manchester.
Every year, on the nearest Saturday and Sunday to this date, we stage Greyhound Remembrance Weekend, in memory of the hundreds of thousands of dogs that have been abused and killed by the
greyhound racing industry since that day.
The Weekend is marked by street stalls and demos/pickets on the Saturday and by remembrance ceremonies on the Sunday, including the laying of wreaths and flowers outside greyhound stadiums, in memory of all the dogs that have suffered and been put to death.’ This has been copied from Greyhound Action… see www.greyhoundaction.co.uk
Thank you to all the lovely SOFA people who care so much about animals… I love being your mascot…

It is so funny watching this… I hope mum will buy us a trampoline! Mind you… My legs are probably too long… Tam would be ok though…
Hi Everyone… Yesterday I went to our school’s sports day… It was great and I met lots of my friends who were taking part in lots of events… I was quite happy to watch because it was so hot… It got me to thinking about being in cars when the weather is so hot… Mum only takes us in the car if she can let us out when she gets out.. It is way too hot for me to stay in the car… Please have a look at what the RSPCA has to say…

I wish my lovely friend Smartina a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY… Love from Bella, Winnie, Susie, Tam and me, Mr B! xxxxx

Christopher!
Young Christopher, a rescued cat, was accidentally shut in a shed for almost four days! Please make sure you check your sheds before locking them… a cat may be in there having a sleep! Christopher is fine now but he could have died if someone hadn’t discovered him in time!
I love this photo because it shows what a wonderful home he has! Christopher is a very lucky cat because my friends, Mr and Mrs Foulkes rescued him when he was a very tiny kitten, from the bank of a canal. He shares his home with two beautiful labradors, Henry and Josie…

My friend Martina helped me to write this blog… A few weeks ago I went out with my friends Martina and her mum Timea, my mum and Tam. We went to Wolterton Park. The path took us to the cows’ field but Tam had a better way of going through the gate, he went under it! Martina and Timea went over the stile but my mum and me did the sensible thing and just went through the gate.
Then we saw the cows coming up to the gate so we quickly ran and went through the other gate.
Next there were two paths.. one was very muddy and the other one was long. Martina said to go the long way but her mum Timea said to go the muddy way… So, we went the muddy way and got stuck !
When we managed to get out poor Tam had mud marks up to his knees!
We found our way out of the woods and went home by Alby Crafts. Tam and I were tired out and happy to stay in the car whilst my friends and mum went for a drink. When they were away, we were joined by a massive bird who decided to land on our car…My goodness he was big… When mum came back she couldn’t believe her eyes because the massive bird was none other than a peacock! Tam and I didn’t mind because he didn’t make any noise until he flew off!!
We had a wonderful day….

This is my friend Martina handing a cheque for £50 to Barbara at the Dogs Trust to help with the wonderful work that they do to save and then find special forever homes for the dogs that they rescue. Mum said there was a black greyhound, like me, there. She told me that he has been there for more than a year which is very sad. I wish more people would give us a chance to show them what wonderful dogs we are (well I am the best of course!!).

Here is the SOFA Club’s bird box building team, led by Martina. They have been busy over their lunch breaks building nesting boxes for the smaller birds that live in Thorpe House School’s woods. I can’t wait to hear if the birds use them. The girls tell me that three boxes have been made and an owl box too!
